1. Introduction and Acceptance of These Terms

Welcome to SANATAANI. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website sanataani.com (the “Website”) and your purchase of products from us.

By browsing the Website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Shipping & Delivery Policy, Return & Refund Policy, Cancellation Policy, Cash on Delivery (COD) Policy and, where applicable, the Kumbh Amrit Campaign Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Website.

These Terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and do not require a physical signature.

We are committed to complying with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. Nothing in these Terms takes away any right that you have under Indian law that cannot be waived. We do not use pre-ticked boxes or automatic consents anywhere on the Website — every consent you give is one you actively choose to give.

2. Definitions

In these Terms, unless the context requires otherwise:

• “Customer”, “you”, “your” means any person who browses the Website or places an order on it.
• “Product(s)” means the spiritual and ritual products listed for sale on the Website, including Kumbh Amrit.
• “Kumbh Amrit” means our launch product: a sealed bottle of sacred water drawn from the Godavari river at Nashik, sold strictly as a religious and ritual item and not as drinking water or as a food or beverage product.
• “Order” means a request placed by you on the Website to purchase Product(s).
• “COD” means Cash on Delivery, where payment is collected by the courier at the time of delivery.
• “Working Day” means any day other than a Sunday or a public holiday in India.

3. Eligibility

To place an order on the Website, you must:

• be at least 18 years of age and competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872; and
• provide a delivery address within India served by our Courier Partners.

If you are under 18, you may use the Website only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, and the order must be placed by that adult. We currently ship only within India; we do not accept orders for delivery outside India.

4. Ordering as a Guest; Accounts

You can place an order as a guest — you do not need to create an account. When ordering, you must provide accurate, complete and current information, including your full name, delivery address with PIN code, and a working mobile number. We use your mobile number to confirm your order and coordinate delivery, so please make sure it is correct.

If we offer account registration in future, you will be responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account. Please tell us immediately at support@sanataani.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

You agree not to place orders using false names, fictitious addresses, or another person’s identity or mobile number without their permission.

5. Product Listings and Descriptions

We take care to describe our Products accurately. Please note:

• Product images are indicative. Actual packaging, bottle shape, label design and the natural appearance of the contents (for example, the colour or clarity of river water, which varies naturally) may differ slightly from images.
• Kumbh Amrit and similar Products are for puja and ritual use only. They are not for drinking, are not food or beverage products, and are not medicines. This is stated on the product page, on the packaging, and in these Terms.
• Statements about sourcing are limited to what we can document. Statements about spiritual significance reflect faith and tradition; they are not claims of guaranteed outcomes. Please read our Disclaimer.

6. Orders and Acceptance

Placing an order on the Website is an offer by you to purchase the Product. Our acceptance of your order takes place when we confirm and dispatch the Product. Before dispatch, we may contact you by phone, SMS or email on the number you provided to verify the order (this is standard for COD orders — see our COD Policy).

We may decline or cancel an order (with prior notice to you wherever possible) if:

• the Product is out of stock or the campaign quantity is exhausted;
• the delivery PIN code is not serviceable;
• the order exceeds the per-order or per-mobile-number limits of a campaign (see the Kumbh Amrit Campaign Terms);
• the order details appear inaccurate, incomplete or fraudulent, or we cannot verify the order despite reasonable attempts;
• there was a clear and obvious error in the listed price or description; or
• the order appears to be for bulk purchase or resale rather than personal use.

If we cancel an order, you owe us nothing — with COD, no money changes hands before delivery, so there is nothing to refund.

7. Pricing and Total Price Transparency

All amounts on the Website are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are shown to you in full before you confirm your order. Where a product is supplied at no charge, the accompanying courier & packaging charge is stated separately and clearly on the product page, in your cart and at checkout, and is inclusive of GST where applicable. There are no hidden charges, no additional shipping fees, no COD handling fees and no other add-ons beyond the total you see before confirming.

For the Kumbh Amrit launch campaign, the bottle itself is supplied at no charge and the courier & packaging charge is ₹87 for each bottle ordered; the total payable is shown before you confirm. We describe a product as free only where the product itself carries no charge and the courier & packaging charge is disclosed with equal prominence, and we do not use countdown pressure tactics, false scarcity claims, pre-ticked add-ons or any other dark patterns prohibited under the Guidelines for Prevention and Regulation of Dark Patterns, 2023 and the CCPA Guidelines for Prevention of Misleading Advertisements, 2022.

Prices may change from time to time, but any change applies only to future orders — never to an order you have already placed and we have confirmed.

8. Payment — Cash on Delivery Only

At launch, we accept payment by Cash on Delivery (COD) only. You pay the exact order amount to the Courier Partner at the time of delivery, in cash or by UPI/digital payment if the courier supports it. You pay nothing at the time of placing the order.

Please keep the exact amount ready, take a receipt or delivery confirmation, and note that repeated refusal to accept delivery of confirmed orders may lead to restriction of COD facility for future orders, as explained in our COD Policy. If we introduce prepaid payment options in future, this section will be updated.

9. Shipping and Delivery

Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees, and may be affected by courier operations, weather, festivals, regional restrictions or force majeure events. Full details, including what happens if delivery fails, are in our Shipping & Delivery Policy.

Risk in the Product passes to you on delivery. Please check the parcel at delivery and report any visible damage as described in our Return & Refund Policy.

10. Cancellations

You may cancel your order free of charge at any time before it is dispatched by contacting us by email us at support@sanataani.com or by email at support@sanataani.com. Once dispatched, an order cannot be cancelled mid-transit, but you may refuse to accept delivery; please note that repeated refusals affect COD eligibility. 11. Returns, Replacements and Refunds

Because our Products are sacred, sealed, single-use ritual items, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, and an opened or used Product cannot be resold or re-consecrated. However, your statutory rights are fully protected. You are entitled to a replacement or a full refund if:

• you received the wrong item;
• the Product arrived damaged (leaked, broken or seal-tampered);
• the Product has a material defect; or
• your order was never delivered but marked as delivered, or otherwise not delivered at all.

To help us resolve damage claims quickly and fairly, please record an unboxing video or take clear photographs and contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Refunds on COD orders are made by bank transfer or UPI to your account. Full process and timelines are in our Return & Refund Policy.

12. Religious Nature of Products; No Guaranteed Outcomes

SANATAANI offers Products rooted in Hindu faith, scripture and tradition. By purchasing, you understand and agree that:

• Products are offered on the basis of shraddha (faith) and parampara (tradition);
• we make no claim, promise or guarantee of any specific spiritual, material, health, financial or other outcome from the use of any Product;
• no Product is a medicine, health supplement, food or beverage, and nothing on the Website is medical advice; and
• Kumbh Amrit is strictly for puja and ritual use and must not be consumed as drinking water.

13. Intellectual Property

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute or commercially exploit any part of the Website or our branding without our prior written permission. Please see our Intellectual Property Policy.

14. Acceptable Use of the Website

You agree not to:

• use the Website for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose;
• place fake, speculative or bulk orders, or orders intended for unauthorised resale;
• interfere with the Website’s security or operation, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems or data;
• use bots, scrapers or automated tools to access the Website or place orders;
• upload or transmit anything defamatory, obscene, hateful or offensive to religious sentiments; or
• misrepresent our Products, misuse our branding, or pass off any product as sourced or blessed by SANATAANI when it is not.

We may suspend or block access, cancel orders and take legal action for breach of this section.

15. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under Indian law, including your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or liability for fraud.

Subject to the above: (a) our total aggregate liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the amount you actually paid for that order; and (b) we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (see Section 19, Force Majeure). We are not liable for any consequence of using a Product contrary to its stated purpose — in particular, consuming Kumbh Amrit as drinking water despite the clear warnings on the product page, the packaging and these Terms.

16. Indemnity

This clause does not restrict any consumer right you have against us under law.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

18. Grievance Officer and Consumer Complaints

In accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Information Technology Act, 2000, our Grievance Officer is:

We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours of receiving it and will resolve it within one month from the date of receipt. When you write to us, please include your order number, mobile number used for the order, and a short description of the issue (with photos or video for damage claims). You may also contact the National Consumer Helpline at 1915 or through consumerhelpline.gov.in.

19. Force Majeure

We shall not be treated as in breach of these Terms for any delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, floods, epidemics, government orders or restrictions, transport disruptions, courier network failures, strikes, civil disturbances, or restrictions connected with large religious gatherings and pilgrimages. If such an event prevents us from fulfilling your order within a reasonable time, we will inform you, and you may cancel the order without any charge (and receive a full refund if any payment was made).

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Changes apply prospectively — the Terms in force when you placed your order govern that order. If a change is material, we will highlight it on the Website. Your continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

21. Severability, Waiver and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the policies referred to in them, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Website and your orders.

Annexure A — Kumbh Amrit: Product, Pricing, Promotion and Food Safety

A1. Definition

“Kumbh Amrit” means SANATAANI’s sealed bottled product sourced from the sacred Godavari region of Nashik, processed and packed in accordance with the applicable product label, licences and food-safety standards. The product is classified under HSN Code 2201.

A2. Before you use the product

Check the seal, the manufacturing or packing date, the best-before date, the batch number and the storage instructions printed on the bottle. Do not use the product if:

• the bottle seal is broken or tampered with;
• the bottle is leaking or damaged;
• the water shows unusual colour, odour or visible contamination; or
• the product has passed its declared best-before date.

Store the bottle in a cool, clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong odours. Once opened, follow the instructions printed on the label.

Statements about the religious or spiritual significance of Kumbh Amrit are based on faith and tradition. No medical, therapeutic or guaranteed spiritual outcome is promised.

A3. Price, promotion and GST

The printed Maximum Retail Price of one Kumbh Amrit bottle is ₹51, inclusive of all applicable taxes. Under the promotional campaign:

• Bottle MRP: ₹51 (inclusive of all taxes)
• Promotional discount: ₹51
• Product amount payable: ₹0
• Pickup charge: ₹0
• Home delivery and handling charge: ₹87, inclusive of 18% GST
• Final checkout total for home delivery: ₹87

You do not pay the bottle’s MRP during the promotional offer. The ₹87 collected on home-delivery orders is a delivery and handling charge, not the selling price of the promotional bottle.

GST breakup of ₹87: taxable value ₹73.73 + GST at 18% ₹13.27 = ₹87. For delivery within Maharashtra this appears as CGST approximately ₹6.64 and SGST approximately ₹6.64. For delivery outside Maharashtra it appears as IGST approximately ₹13.27. The exact split on the tax invoice may vary marginally because of statutory rounding, but the amount you pay stays ₹87 unless you separately select an additional product or service that is clearly shown to you before checkout.

There are no hidden shipping charges, no separate COD charges and no undisclosed fees.

A4. Promotional offer conditions

• The free-product offer runs for a limited period and depends on stock availability.
• SANATAANI may limit the number of free bottles per customer, mobile number, delivery address or household.
• The free bottle cannot be exchanged for cash, credit or another product.
• Duplicate, fraudulent, automated, bulk or resale orders may be cancelled.
• Pickup is available only from designated locations and during the timings we communicate.
• Home delivery is available only at serviceable PIN codes.
• The offer may be modified, extended, suspended or discontinued where reasonably necessary.

A5. Regulatory compliance and the bottle label

Kumbh Amrit is processed, packed, labelled and supplied through appropriately licensed facilities in accordance with applicable Indian food-safety, packaged-water and labelling requirements.

Applicable FSSAI and BIS details, batch number, manufacturing or packing date, best-before date, net quantity, MRP and customer-care details are shown on the bottle label wherever legally required.

Please rely on the declarations printed on the bottle label. If anything on this Website conflicts with the label, the legally compliant declaration printed on the bottle prevails.

A6. Damage, leakage or quality complaints

If a bottle arrives damaged, leaking, seal-tampered or otherwise unsuitable for use, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with:

• your order number;
• clear photographs of the bottle and the packaging;
• an unedited parcel-opening video, where available; and
• the batch number and packing details printed on the bottle.

After verification we may provide a replacement or an applicable refund under our Return and Refund Policy. A damaged, leaking or seal-tampered bottle must not be used or consumed.

A7. Limitation of liability for this product

SANATAANI is not responsible for consequences arising from using the product after its declared best-before date, despite a broken or tampered seal, after improper storage, contrary to the instructions printed on the bottle, or where visible contamination, leakage or damage was ignored. Nothing here limits any statutory consumer right or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Indian law.
