Cash on Delivery (COD) Policy

Quick Summary

  • Every order is Cash on Delivery (COD) — you pay only when the parcel reaches your door. No advance payment, ever.
  • The amount you pay the courier is exactly the price shown at checkout — no COD fee, no shipping fee, nothing extra.
  • We may confirm your order by a quick call, SMS or WhatsApp before dispatch. Unconfirmed orders may be cancelled.
  • Please accept and pay for orders you place. Repeated refusals or failed deliveries can lead to loss of the COD facility.
  • Campaign products have limits per order and per mobile number.

1. Why COD, and How It Works

At launch, SANATAANI accepts Cash on Delivery only. We chose COD so that you pay nothing until the product is physically in your hands — no online payment risk, no waiting for refunds if something goes wrong before delivery. Here is the complete flow:

  1. Place your order on sanataani.com with your name, full address, PIN code and mobile number. You pay nothing at this step.
  2. We confirm your order. You will receive an order confirmation by SMS/WhatsApp. We may also make a short verification call or send a WhatsApp confirmation request (Section 3).
  3. We dispatch within [DISPATCH TIMELINE] and send you tracking details.
  4. The courier delivers. Pay the courier the exact order amount and receive your parcel.

2. Paying the Courier — Exact Amount, Nothing Extra

  • The COD amount is exactly the all-inclusive price shown at checkout and printed on your order confirmation. It includes the product, GST and delivery. If any courier staff asks for even one rupee more, do not pay it — call us immediately at [SUPPORT PHONE].
  • Please keep the exact amount ready in cash; couriers often cannot provide change. Many of our courier partners ([COURIER PARTNERS]) also accept UPI payment at the doorstep — you may pay by scanning the courier’s official device-generated QR code where offered.
  • Pay only against handover of the parcel, and only to the courier delivering it. SANATAANI will never ask you to prepay for a COD order, send money to a personal UPI ID, or share an OTP to “release” a parcel. Treat any such request as fraud and report it to us.

3. Order Verification Calls and WhatsApp Confirmation

Because COD orders involve dispatching goods before payment, we verify orders to keep the system fair and keep our single price low:

  • after you place an order, we may call you or message you on WhatsApp/SMS at the number you provided, to confirm that you placed the order and that the address is correct;
  • these communications are order-service messages, not marketing, and are sent to fulfil your order;
  • if we cannot reach you despite reasonable attempts over a reasonable period, we may cancel the order (you owe nothing) and will notify you of the cancellation; and
  • you may freely cancel during the verification call — no questions asked (see our Cancellation Policy).

4. Your Responsibilities With a COD Order

  • Provide a correct, complete address and a mobile number you actually answer.
  • Be available (or have someone available) to receive and pay for the parcel during delivery attempts. The courier typically attempts delivery up to three times.
  • Order only what you genuinely intend to accept. A COD order is a commitment: we dispatch a limited, sacred product and bear shipping costs in advance, relying on your intention to accept it.

5. Refusal of Delivery and Failed Deliveries — Consequences

You always have the right to refuse a parcel at the door (for example, if it appears damaged — in which case please also inform us at [SUPPORT PHONE]). However:

  • every refused or undeliverable parcel travels back to us at our cost, and for a limited campaign product it removes a unit that another devotee could have received;
  • if a customer, mobile number or address shows a repeated pattern of refusing confirmed orders or of failed deliveries caused by the customer (wrong address given, persistently unreachable, refusing without reason), we may restrict or withdraw the COD facility for future orders from that customer, number or address;
  • restriction means future orders may be declined at the time of placement or verification; and
  • we apply restrictions carefully and only where a clear pattern exists — a single genuine refusal (such as refusing a visibly damaged parcel, or an emergency) will not affect you.

If you believe a COD restriction has been applied to you in error, contact our Grievance Officer (Section 8) and we will review it. Refusing a damaged parcel on our advice is never counted against you.

6. Order Limits

To let the maximum number of devotees participate in limited campaigns:

  • Kumbh Amrit orders are limited to a maximum number of units per order and per mobile number, as stated in the Kumbh Amrit Campaign Terms;
  • orders that exceed these limits, or that appear structured to evade them (multiple orders across numbers to one address, for example), may be cancelled before dispatch with notice to you; and
  • COD order value limits may also apply per courier norms.

7. Receipts and Proof of Payment

The courier’s delivery confirmation serves as proof of payment and delivery. We recommend keeping your order confirmation SMS/WhatsApp until you have received and checked your order. If you ever need a payment acknowledgement or invoice copy, write to [SUPPORT EMAIL] with your order number and we will provide it.
